Liverpool FC International Academy Maryland selects coaches that have an incredible passion for the game of soccer and want to become an intricate part in the success of the players who wear the Reds of Liverpool. Their insight, experience, and talents are the cornerstone of our club’s success. Encouraged to contribute, create and share each coach finds the freedom and the support to thrive within the professional club environment here at Liverpool FC International Academy Maryland. While they realize their potential to create outstanding young players through development and competition, they also realize the tremendous responsibility they have for impacting the lives of their players. The responsibilities and the work ethic of our coaches are held to the highest standards anywhere in the United States.  Being a part of Liverpool FC International Academy Maryland is an honor, a responsibility and a passion each embraces.

Jordan Cyrus

Former Assistant Coach, University of Maryland Men's Soccer
Playing experience with Vancouver, MLS & Former ACC champions at UMD

Jordan brings a wealth of experience as a player as a former collegiate and professional player. As a graduate of the University of Maryland, he made it to the kind of levels our players are aspiring to reach. Furthermore, he has worked as an assistant with his alma mater at the very top level of collegiate soccer.

Jordan has a positive impact on the club by analyzing each player and making plans to maximize their developmental opportunities through constructive discussion with our coaches.

Nathan will bring an incredible level of professionalism, experience and quality to our club. A former 'Coach of the Year' at the collegiate level, we are excited by the potential for the girl's side of the program under his leadership! 

Having coached extensively at all levels of the women's game he is perfectly positioned to help our female players achieve their goals with Liverpool FCIA Maryland and beyond. His quality on the field is backed up by his quality as a person and these traits will serve the club and our valued players well!

Marlowe has been coaching locally for many years and has consistently built strong teams with a dedicated focus to building the technical ability and strong character necessary to progress and develop as people and players.

Coached age group to one of the state's best.
Years of youth coaching experience in elite development.

Solomon has been coaching locally for many years and has built a very strong group that we believe will continue to develop rapidly. Coach Solomon's strong values are reflected in the character and quality of the players he coaches.

Joe has continued to take these age groups in the right direction and develop them into fine soccer players. His dedication to them as people is a big reason why players love his coaching. His experience as a player and now as collegiate coach makes him a valuable asset to the players he works with.

Played collegiately at PG County Community College

Mike brings a fantastic level of dedication to his players on the field, but more importantly, off the field with his feedback and desire to help them improve. All of his teams play a technical game as a result of his concentration on building strong foundations in their technical ability from a young age.

An NCAA Final Four captain and passionate coach, Oumar brings fine values to the club. He will be a fantastic resource on and off the field for the players in the 2008 and 2011 boys age groups and we look forward to his impact.

Played on one of nations best college teams

Having known Cesar personally and as a former team mate, we are very excited by the impact he will have in the 2009 age group with his focus not only on building technical proficiency, but the way he will represent our club values with the players! 

Michael Molloy
2010 Boys Head Coach

Former Mount St Mary's University Player
Came up with Baltimore Bays, Chelsea FC System

Michael is going to have an instant impact in the building on the strong foundation our previous coaches laid in the 2010 boys age groups. With a strong emphasis on technical development, we are excited to watch the progress!

 

Matt Bourdeau Director of Sports Performance

Matt heads up our injury prevention initiatives to ultimately ensure our players are in the best possible condition to avoid injuries. This is achieved through designing programs for the players to use at home as well delivering sessions in the weight room and gym to our players. He has worked with many professional soccer players across his career and will be a tremendous asset to our players.

Fred Sporrer Pre-Academy Director
 

Fred is highly experienced in delivering technical training and this shows in the improvement of his players. His aim is to make every player comfortable with the ball through his technical drills and experienced insight. His current role as 2008 Boys White Head Coach will conclude at the end of this season where he will focus on the technical development at the younger age groups of the club and his new role at Archbishop Spalding HS.

Kerry Brimmer Girls College Director
 
Kerry brings incredible experience to our college program. Not only is Kerry vastly experienced in this role but also in her coaching experience, giving her the tools to help our players that have college aspirations. As a former University of Maryland soccer player, she also comes with great playing experience. Many of the players Kerry has coached are playing in college, including a recent return of 22 of 22 players in her ASA Azzurri squad going on to play in college many at the D1 level. A truly incredible achievement. Kerry's task will be to provide guidance in the recruitment process, as well as facilitate communication with her vast collegiate coaching network.

Matt Sanchez Goalkeeper Coach

Matt is a Puerto Rico National Team goalkeeper who joins us with collegiate, professional and international experience that will prove invaluable to our goalkeepers.

Coach Sanchez also brings experience as a collegiate coach after serving as the goalkeeper and assistant coach to Loyola University Maryland as he helped guide the team a Patriot League title as well as train goalkeeper, Chase Vosvick, to becoming Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year. We look forward to watching the impact he will have on our keepers at LFCIA Central Maryland!

Alambi Clarke Jr

Profile:

Professional playing experience in Ireland.
Played collegiately in NC.

Alambi is a very passionate coach who has experience playing at high levels of the game. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the game positions him well to make big impacts with the teams he works with.

Marie Rodriguez
LFC Trainer
 

Profile:

Former Puerto Rico Women's National Team Coach
Current assistant coach to other LFC teams

Marie has built great experience in 'The Liverpool Way' as an assistant and trainer to multiple teams and will be an excellent role model to our girls! Having a coach with national team experience provides our girls with invaluable insight!

Akeem Agbetu

Profile:

Former Nigeria International and professional player in Europe.
Played under former USMNT coach Bob Bradley for Le Havre in France.

Akeem brings a wealth of experience with him as a top professional and will look to share this experience with all of the players he works with. We are delighted to have him with our club and look forward to his impact.

Heith brings a fantastic level of dedication and passion to the players he works with and is a great ambassador of 'The Liverpool Way'. As an LFC trainer he continues to have an impact on any team he works with.

Vast experience coaching local elite youth teams

James will bring a great deal of quality any team he coaches. His experience of developing elite youth players will serve the club and its families very well! James particularly specializes in technical training.
