LFCIAA Western Maryland Coaches

Liverpool FC International Academy WMD has a fantastic team of coaches who develop players in many different age groups. Our coaches deliver the highest standard of football coaching in line with the values of ‘The Liverpool Way'.

 The LFC International Academy WMD team offers support and guidance to all our coaches through coach education programmes, coaching performance feedback and personal development meetings and plans.

We annually recruit highly skillful coaches who have the potential to deliver our unique Liverpool Football Club programmes to our set criteria. If you believe that you have the personality, experience and qualifications required to coach ‘The Liverpool Way' then the world's greatest football family is waiting for you to submit your application.

New coach requirements:

  • To learn the values and history of Liverpool FC
  • To attend coach education programmes
  • To create a positive environment in which each individual can thrive and enjoy
  • Have the ability to work alongside a team of coaches
  • Deliver presentations to players, parents and partners
  • Have a passion to progress your coaching development
  • Have the confidence to deliver high quality football sessions ‘The Liverpool Way'
  • Be organised, punctual, self-motivated and reliable
  • Provide each player with an experience they will never forget.

Minimal qualifications required:

  • USSF Grassroots 11v11 Online and 1 other 4v4 7v7 or 9v9
  • USC Foundation Coaching Courses 

JNR REFEREE PROGRAM

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Jnr Referee Program (JRP) is to address the shortage of referees currently at all levels. Our aim to prepare first time referees by providing opportunities to officiate recreational youth matches will hopefully inspire them into the role as adults. 

OUTCOME:

Once the candidate has completed the course JRP referees can officiate, small-sided or recreational youth matches 4v4 or 7v7.

ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility standards for JRP first time referees are:

  • 13 years or older

JNR COACHING PROGRAM

We're thrilled to introduce an exciting new initiative aimed at nurturing and empowering players to contribute to the growth of our community's soccer scene. High school-aged players now have the opportunity to gain coaching skills and mentor younger players.

Compensation will be based on experience and length of service within the club.

Jnr Coaches can earn between $12 - $30 per hour 

Qualifications: Head coaches are required to hold a minimum of 1 in person license (16 years old+) 

COACHING LICENSE PATHWAY

U.S. Soccer is committed to providing all coaches, from beginner to advanced, with education tailored to their experiences and the needs of their players. The Coaching License Pathway consists of a series of courses designed to meet the specific needs of a coach at every step of the way. U.S. Soccer believes education is a journey, and our goal is to provide the necessary tools, guidance, and mentorship a coach requires along their way.
