About Us

Liverpool Football Club International Academy Western Maryland  (LFCIA Western MD) is a premier soccer academy based in Washington County, Hagerstown, Maryland whose U8-U18 players compete in premier and mid-level select programs. The club also offers developmental programs for children ages 3-6.

The club was originally founded in 2010 as Locomotive FC.  In June 2017, Locomotive FC partnered with Liverpool FC International Academy to become it's second official club in the state of Maryland.  Liverpool FCIA now operates in eight states with 15 club's to it's name.

This transition united Locomotive FC's reputation for high quality player development, leadership, and professionalism here in Western Maryland with the rich, storied tradition of Liverpool Football Club in England. Becoming Liverpool FCIA Western Maryland will enhance our level of training, coaching and competition. In many ways we are the same great club with a Board of Trustees responsible for local decision making now having the breadth and depth of resources that only an elite professional club can offer the soccer community.

As an International Academy for the prestigious English Premier League club, our players:

  • Train under the proprietary curriculum of The Academy in England, implemented through “Boot Room,” its extensive storehouse of training material, and regular communication between our coaching staff and the International Academy coaches in England
  • Have the privilege of wearing the official RED Liverpool Football Club jersey
  • Become members of the “World’s Greatest Football Family”
  • Attend the LFC summer camp here in Maryland staffed by coaches from the International Academy in England
  • Have the opportunity to travel and play in England
  • Learn to play under establish philosophy of Ambition, Commitment, Dignity, and Unity known as “The Liverpool Way”

We are excited that Liverpool FCIA has chosen our organization to grow the game "The Liverpool Way" along the I-70 and I-81 corridors and look forward to many continued successes both on and off the field!
